[Just so she can blend in with the crowd (said crowd only consisting of Sarah), Lisa picks up a random book off of one of the shelves before looking down at the title. The Tale of the Chivalrous Knight. Oh, a fairy tale? But all of this seems kind of like something out of a fairy tale so is it more like a nonfiction historical book? She shrugs before she takes herself over to the seat across from Sarah. She is quite comfortable in her little blanket tortilla. She'll wrap herself up in properly soon enough.]
I mean, not even that long ago I was confronting the darker side of myself and fighting demons. Now? I'm supposed to fight in a war!
[She places the heavy book on the table with a resounding bam before she lazily opens up to one of the pages. So many words. She is quite oblivious to how crazy her words may seem right now. Not everyday you hear...that. But she is too concerned about the current situation to care.]
Haime! They really expect someone like me to help? I may know how to punch and stuff but it's not enough to help win a war, you know?

A corner of Sarah's lips quirk up just a little at that, her brows rising as well.]
I don't know, seems like knowing how to fight would be a bit step forward in winning a war. Or at least winning some of the fights during the war.

[And fists are what Lisa has. Quite proud of them too. She's already starting to miss the simple life already. Just her and her friends hanging out in school being themselves. But she supposes that she wouldn't have been able to reconnect if things didn't spiral out of control. And Jun-kun would still be suffering. That is the last thing that Lisa wants.]
Don't these kind of wars usually involve planes and serious tacticians? Do we even have any of those?
no subject
[She muses a little, rolling the idea of planes around in her mind. And serious tacticians too.]
Maybe they have dragons? I suppose they could have fairly early sorts of planes too?
[The technological level of this world is a confusing thing.]

[Lisa curls into her covers a bit more, looking left and right as if any moment now a dragon could come out of nowhere and eat her. They are feral kind of creatures, right? They usually attack when someone least expects it! Despite claiming to be a tough girl, Lisa still has her limits of what she can punch. And she severely doubts that her and her Persona could take down a dragon. At least not without some help.]
I don't care about a war anymore. I'll fight for whatever side that doesn't bring any fire breathing dragons in a ten mile radius of me.
no subject
I'll be right behind you when they start breaking out the fire-breathing dragons, trust me.
no subject
[Lisa seems quite relieved at that. She's put her faith in that. Sarah seems like the tactician type that could lead her around which works for Lisa. She's no Tatsuya but she'll certainly work for her. At least to make sure that they both come out of everything okay along with anyone else. Lisa relaxes a bit, sinking back further into her chair.]
Hey. You don't think we're going to have to kill the others on the other side, do you? They're in the same situation as us so it seems kind of wrong...
no subject
What she has to say is:]
War is sort of unpredictable. It's safe to say though we may be expected to do things we don't exactly agree with or want to do.
no subject
Thanks for being honest with me.
[Lisa slouches a bit.]
It's kind of weird that we'd have to do that though. Especially over a war that I'm sure not a lot of us care about. At least I think that none of us care about?
[Hmmmm.]
But there are neutral territories, though. Those are areas when fighting must absolutely not happen, right? That means maybe there's a way we could stop all this fighting through means of simple...peace talks? Trade? Whatever my history teacher talked about?
no subject
Peace talks only really work unfortunately when sides are willing to concede. And seeing how the Emperor is I can't imagine they're very eager to give any.
no subject
[Not exactly on the same level but...at least she's tried?]
Maybe we could pull something off like they do in the movies! Like take over the court from the inside in a top secret kind of way and, before he realizes it, we're already the ones in power!
