Yes. In particular, the origins of this war are what stand out the most. Or, rather, that neither we nor the Emperor really seem to know what they are. That all the history books are defaced, and nobody seems to know how that happened, or by whom...

It seem to me the best way to wage this war—if we choose to do so—is to get more information.

You've seen the state of the castle library, I suppose. It strikes me as odd that such a degree of damage would occur in the faction's base of operations without anyone noticing.
